We can’t say enough about the quality of work done by John and his team of sub-contractors. John is a great contractor and quite the perfectionist, as it shows in the work completed. It started out as a kitchen remodel and morphed into our entire house being redesigned. He drew plans for the kitchen first which was phenomenal—he didn’t waste a square inch of space and put everything in the perfect place. He has the patience of a saint and was extremely helpful in helping choose the best choices in cabinets, quartz counter tops, tile, etc. We were so pleased with the kitchen that we decided to have him do our 4 bathrooms and laundry room as well. All were exactly what I dreamed about. When I walk into the master bath, I feel like I’m entering a spa! In addition, he supervised the installation of all new character oak flooring throughout the house, window and crown moldings, new exterior and interior doors, a new Trex deck, and a full basement refinishing. It was a lengthy project and was handled in the most professional way. John was here every day to make sure the timeline stayed on track. He was diligent about getting the contractors in when needed so as not to extend the length of the project. We can’t thank him enough for making our home as beautiful and functional as it is now.

I had John Welch redo my kitchen that was 27 years old and in need of a complete remodel. The kitchen was taken down to the studs and redesigned and rebuilt. I could not be more thrilled with the results. John knows kitchens and he is passionate about every little detail. John had great ideas and he worked with me to put in a beautiful china cabinet to store my dishes and worked with a company to make me a reclaimed chestnut barn wood counter top for my island. The kitchen is classic and warm, yet there are so many layers to the details that just flow together beautifully and seamlessly that when you walk in it is a picture. Sometimes I can't believe it is my kitchen when I look around. I can truly say he built me my dream kitchen.

John Welch is a true master craftsman who takes pride in his work. He made our dreams come true. We planned a custom home and were looking for someone to help us in the design of our kitchen and bathrooms. We spent lots of time on Houzz and visiting showrooms. We tried several designers but each one pushed their own product line and didn’t take the time to get to know us and our sensibilities. Then we struck gold- we were introduced to John. John has endless patience and is a great listener. He developed a sense of our design taste and developed drawings that matched our needs – and added his expertise and extra special touches that achieved the rustic elegance that we wanted in our home. We were very particular about the cabinet design and quality and the color scheme. In John’s beautiful showroom he helped us visualize the right products and color schemes to meet our dreams. We thought we were going to drive him crazy with our refinements, but his patient meticulous style matched our desire to “get it just right.” John stuck with us through the ordering, the installation, and the final punch list. On the job-site John was like a mother hen in ensuring that our cabinets, tile, and appliance installation were properly coordinated and respected by all of the trades that had to work together to get the job done right. Kitchen and bath design can be a real challenge – picking the right cabinets, the right lay out, the right color, the right appliances etc. John guided and supported us through every phase of the work. We ended up with a dream kitchen which is both highly functional and esthetically beautiful. Quality all the way! We dreamt of a master bathroom that was like a spa. We ended up with an elegant spa in our master suite. If you want a talented, caring, patient, knowledgeable craftsman for your kitchen and bath – John Welch is your guy! AND he’s a salt of the earth personality as well!

It is with enthusiasm that I write this review for John Welch Kitchens and Bath.
My ‘78 kitchen needed an overhaul, a complete update. I had three different designers stop by to recommend a design for my kitchen. None of them were able to provide me with what I was wishing for.
Then along came John Welch. His immediate vision for my update exceeded my own vision. Within a short time, he had a hand-sketched blueprint ready for my review. After discussions and some small changes, John professionally drew up the plans.
Once the job began. I had nothing to think about or worry about. When John said something was scheduled to happen - it happened, and John was there to oversee that it was done to his high expectations and standards.
Recommendations were made by John for some of the finishing details (cabinet hardware, fixtures, paint, stools), and everything came together beautifully.
The kitchen remodel was completed within the timeframe John stated.
